DISCUSS: METHADOLOGY

How are models use in human sciences?
In psychology, models are humans, thus by observing other people in terms of behaviours, attitude and actions and observing them in order to create a method of observation and learning from them in order to reach a conclusion. Moreover, people also tend to categorise certain people when observing them in order to show that certain actions are conducted by certain groups of people. Models are also a sign of making certain methodological finding before conducting a hypothesis.

How does that fact that the object of our inquiry is human  affect the way we pursue it? how does it impact ethical limitations imposed on it?

A bias that plays a factor in human sciences especially psychology is participant basis which is that the participants acts differently in order to oppose or benefit the results of the study (in the way that the hypothesis wants them to act), and an ethical consideration that falls under this is then deception, Depiction is the act of not telling a person the truth. in which if you don't tell the participants the true experiment in order to avoid participant bias. thus they are somewhat contradicting to each other making methodology hard to follow. In terms of another ethical consideration would be generalisation, as researches might make hasty generalise a populations  in order to justify their reason.

What assumptions about human nature. If any, do we need to make in order to justify our methods?

Rationality is a big factor that is played when justifying our methods about human nature, as some may use their emotional understanding in order to justify methods instead of facts and logical thinking. Furthermore human error also plays a fact when making assumptions as it can alter some of the results made. Assumptions that also need to be made in order to justify our methods are theories or hypothesis, this is especially done in psychology in which most observation made are ones that have an already stated hypothesis.
