What would be the advantages and disadvantages  if everyone in the world spoke a common language? What would be gained and what would be lost? Language is very important when it comes to communicating with one another and understand each other from different points of view. Furthermore, language is essential when interacting and discussing ideas, perspectives and points of view, thus essential to creating individuality.   The advantages of everyone speaking the same language will be that everyone would be able to communicate in a way that would be easy to understand by everyone moreover, you will be able to interact without the need of translators and interpreters. Real-Life Situation regarding eyewitness accounts.  1. Highlight 5 first-order knowledge claims  70% of convictions have been over tuned to investigation through DNA testing involved "eyewitness who got it wrong". Kevin Brinkley's murder conviction was mostly based on 2  eye-witnesses. scientific studies over the decade have shown that most eyewitnesses are inaccurate. The Map Metaphor 1. What does the metaphor of the map mean to you?  How might this be helpful in the course?   What other maps (concepts) from your life can you now question certainty of? does this mean they are less helpful than you once thought?          The metaphor of the map in my perspective shows that the 'truth' varies from one person to the next,  thus the 'truth' of the map in my opinion is not necessarily important, as long as they are useful in completing the specific task it was tailored to do.When linking this to knowledge and this course it is more efficient to think of knowledge as being appropriate and useful for a specific task rather then dwelling on the truth of it, as different tasks can require different types of knowledge.
