DISCUSS: METHADOLOGY  How are models use in human sciences?  In psychology, models are humans, thus by observing other people in terms of behaviours, attitude and actions and observing them in order to create a method of observation and learning from them in order to reach a conclusion. Moreover, people also tend to categorise certain people when observing them in order to show that certain actions are conducted by certain groups of people. Models are also a sign of making certain methodological finding before conducting a hypothesis. How does that fact that the object of our inquiry is human  affect the way we pursue it? how does it impact ethical limitations imposed on it?  A bias that plays a factor in human sciences especially psychology is participant basis which is that the participants acts differently in order to oppose or benefit the results of the study (in the way that the hypothesis wants them to act), and an ethical c...

RLS: Embryonic stem cell research and use- Ethics Wrap up

RLS: Embryonic stem cell research and use Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the ability to divide and create more identical stem cells or be able to specialize and be a specific type of cell. There are 2 areas in which stem cells can be derived, either from the somatic or embryonic cell. Embryonic stem cells can only be adopted from preimplantation embryos or IVF and have the capability to form any type of somatic cells. Moreover, Embryonic stem cell research can offer hope for new therapies but their use and research has sparked debate. The idea of extracting embryonic cells is widely questioned, as some religions believe it is inhumane or wrong, as a potential life is lost. However, by conducting research on the cells, scientists could discover new areas of life and could have the potential to improve our ways of living and save future lives from severe diseases.  The two sides that could be debated is that embryonic stem cells should be extracted ...

On what basis did you make your decision? What questions you find particularly different, or particularly easy?   I made my decision based on my values and beliefs as well what I though was right for me and I would weigh the benefits the the limitation of the particular situation, if benfits are out weighed then it would be more morally correct then of the limitation were outweighed. That is why I found that usually I would choose the many over the few depending on the situation, although if it had something to do with a family member I would hesitate and put myself not obligated for a certain situation. I found it particularly difficult to answer question that had to do with the harming of others.   What did you learn or have reinforced for you regarding how you make ethical decisions?  I based my designs based on the values and understanding that i have gained since i was born through what has been demonstrated throughout my life, in term of what i kne...

In any experiment and investigation whether it be creative or conservative, it should acquire ethical consideration, thus a set of rules or limits that an individual must respect in order to maintain a humane status in any piece of artwork. Because art communicates to us in many different ways and perspectives it has it's own way to affect our emotions, senses, imagination, and reason.
