The Map Metaphor 1. What does the metaphor of the map mean to you? How might this be helpful in the course? What other maps (concepts) from your life can you now question certainty of? does this mean they are less helpful than you once thought? The metaphor of the map in my perspective shows that the 'truth' varies from one person to the next, thus the 'truth' of the map in my opinion is not necessarily important, as long as they are useful in completing the specific task it was tailored to do.When linking this to knowledge and this course it is more efficient to think of knowledge as being appropriate and useful for a specific task rather then dwelling on the truth of it, as different tasks can require different types of knowledge.
